This course provides an overview of the J-STD-001, IPC Policies and Procedures, and IPC Certification. 

Exams and Hands-on soldering are required for: wires, terminals, through-hole and surface mount technology (SMT). Candidates who successfully complete this Course are awarded a J-STD-001 Certified IPC Trainer Certification.  Valid for two years.

 IPC-A-610H- Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, is the most -widely used IPC standard for the global electronics industry. Inspection teams universally embrace this acceptance criteria. 

 The picture representations of the requirements in the standard give personnel an essential tool when interpreting the standard against hardware anomalies during production. 

This hands-on a la carte course is designed for those who have no previous soldering experience. QTTC Soldering Bootcamp takes an in-depth view of the fundamentals of soldering, proper soldering methods, ESD, safety, and general requirements for soldering electronic assemblies. Each participant will be taught some of best manufacturing practices for all classes of products for soldering, as well as some minor rework techniques.  Candidates receive a QTTC Certificate 

This hands-on a la carte course is designed for those who have some previous soldering experience but need to refine some skills or add new ones. QTTC Soldering Bootcamp Advanced skips the introductory information and concentrates specifically on refining techniques through repetitive action. This course helps candidates build that much needed muscle memory with some of best manufacturing practices and techniques. Candidates receive a QTTC Certificate  Rework

2-hour Introductory course for Component Identification that covers topics such as polarity indicators, component orientation, PCB silkscreens, through-hole components, surface mount or SMT components, and different package configurations.  Candidates receive a QTTC Certificate. 

1-hour Introductory Course that introduces ESD and the threat it poses to sensitive hardware. The best manufacturing practices are explained for proper transport, storage, PPE, and ESD mitigation. Candidates receive a QTTC Certificate.
